About New Noise
New Noise is a creative music program for young people with disability, delivered in a real band-based, group setting. The program supports participants aged 10 to 25 to come together to play, write, experiment and collaborate with others through music.
The program was created by combining over 16 years experience in the live music industry and more than 6 years working in disability/mental health support.
Growing up, music was always a way for me to make friends and find my passion, New Noise is built around that same idea of connection through creating together.
Sessions focus on building confidence, creativity and social connection through shared music-making, while supporting young people to develop skills in a fun and meaningful way. The program is designed to be inclusive, strengths-based and responsive to individual support goals and needs.
New Noise was created to provide young people in the Geelong region with access to a collaborative, band-style music program in a supported environment.
